I like the way the game reflects the elements of the books. I really enjoyed the slight touches, like the complex Peeta/Katniss dialogue trees and friendship points you can score with other players to keep them from attacking you. As a gamer, I can say that the game really hits the fun factor.
If I had to list a complaint, the map is a bit too small. I can understand this is due to their really only being 24 characters and it players run the risk of getting lost, but the entire map is pretty much one solid area. Just grass and trees. I found one waterfall (the one with the cave behind it that contains the silver bow hidden item), but that's not really enough in terms of environment variety.
The sheer amount of weapons available make up for any graphic oversight, however. Just the way different weapons control is astounding. It's like a different combat system for each unique weapon. At one point, with a bow, I'm playing a WASD+mouse kind of Geometry wars shooter with RTS elements, and another moment get a sword, and the entire thing becomes an interesting brawler/DMC combo-heavy button masher.
Oh and, one bug I can think of from the top of my head (and I usually keep a huge detailed list in each game so if this is the only bug I'm still impressed), the knives clip through trees and walls. It's not a particularly huge deal as the knives have the weakest stats in the game and no NPC character goes for them at the start. Perhaps think of upping their stats or getting rid of them altogether?
Anyway, in short: Great game, fun gameplay, awesome depth/leveling system, ton of content for a flash game.
*PS, Just a quickie fix from a huge HG fan here, the berries Foxface collects are called "Nightlock" in the books, not "Hemlock". Just a heads up.
