Oh my GOD!
It's me ironlunch again. Holy CRAP I wasn't expecting this. Sorry, i'm reviewing before I watch the vid... I'll get back to you right quick!!!
Hah, that's alright. Hope you enjoyed it!
Oh come on...
You're too humble for your own good. This really is very good, the only flaw with it is that it's really detached, almost sporadic, but that's easily explainable since it was originally going to be in a collab. But everything in here is funny, and you play to your strengths admirably. The unique style and animation, the quirky voice acting, and points for the very amusing subtitles.
On a sortof related note... THATH 2 ... gimme gimme.
I feel sorry for bashing your HOTM now. This is genuis. I'm not sure if I've ever had to suppress manic laughter in the middle of class as hard as I had to today. I seriously don't understand why this isn't at least a 4.0, maybe too many people got confused by the menu.
There's only one problem I can see...
IT'S APRIL ALREADY AND DER AINT NO THATH2!
Probably because of it being so damn evil. I mean, you have to hit the play button like 6 times to actually play it, and then it just yells at ya. It's like a spam cartoon, except it's animated GOOD, so it's like a mixed bag sort of thing. I love it for that, though, so yay!
AND I KNOW, I'VE BEEN LAZY WITH THE HEART AND THE HAND. IT'LL BE OUT EVENTUALLY.
I like the way the game reflects the elements of the books. I really enjoyed the slight touches, like the complex Peeta/Katniss dialogue trees and friendship points you can score with other players to keep them from attacking you. As a gamer, I can say that the game really hits the fun factor.
If I had to list a complaint, the map is a bit too small. I can understand this is due to their really only being 24 characters and it players run the risk of getting lost, but the entire map is pretty much one solid area. Just grass and trees. I found one waterfall (the one with the cave behind it that contains the silver bow hidden item), but that's not really enough in terms of environment variety.
The sheer amount of weapons available make up for any graphic oversight, however. Just the way different weapons control is astounding. It's like a different combat system for each unique weapon. At one point, with a bow, I'm playing a WASD+mouse kind of Geometry wars shooter with RTS elements, and another moment get a sword, and the entire thing becomes an interesting brawler/DMC combo-heavy button masher.
Oh and, one bug I can think of from the top of my head (and I usually keep a huge detailed list in each game so if this is the only bug I'm still impressed), the knives clip through trees and walls. It's not a particularly huge deal as the knives have the weakest stats in the game and no NPC character goes for them at the start. Perhaps think of upping their stats or getting rid of them altogether?
Anyway, in short: Great game, fun gameplay, awesome depth/leveling system, ton of content for a flash game.
*PS, Just a quickie fix from a huge HG fan here, the berries Foxface collects are called "Nightlock" in the books, not "Hemlock". Just a heads up.
Very well designed game
I prefer it to Tactical Assasin if just for the most details graphics (and oh how detailed they are). However, my one problem with the game is; when you off your target, other citizens don't even seem to notice.
If this is the kind of city where that happens all the time, that may be understandable, but it still keeps me from giving this game a perfect score.
Again, great job.
I won by just staying in the same place the entire time. Boring and short. You should have some Flash experience, so this is intolerable.

YEAH RIGHT! u should just check how many movies/games u made in ur history
I can listen to this and it sounds spiritual to me. Grats, this is first-class.
